VISION
ABIQ believes that children with ASD deserve to receive quality, evidence-based early intervention.
Early, intensive behavioural intervention such as Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is the most effective with over 40 years of solid evidence.
About ABIQ
Autism Behavioural Intervention Queensland (ABIQ) Inc. was formed in 1999 to support families who are conducting ABA programs for their children with Autism in Queensland, Australia. ABIQ is a not-for-profit organisation and is overseen by a dedicated management committee.
Aims of ABIQ
To provide information about Applied Behaviour Analysis for families who have a child with Autism.
To provide training and education for parents, carers and professionals working with children with Autism by hosting regular workshops and seminars.
To support families who are implementing ABA programs by enabling access to resources such as the ABIQ toy library, ABA resource kits and a book/DVD library.
To provide support through regular family and social events.
To raise awareness of Applied Behaviour Analysis amongst the public and professional sectors as an effective and evidence-based treatment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
